Mentu’s Theory of Gender Displacement

I am a student and proponent of game. If you happen to visit NeWorld Deli in Austin on any given weekday and see someone intently staring at his phone while trying not to lolzzozlzolzozlz with his mouth full, there’s a good chance it’s me reading the latest post by Loveawake or Chateau Heartiste.

But let’s stop for a moment and roll back time. Let’s go back to the beginning and study the forces that forever changed the sexual marketplace, birthed feminism and gave rise to the scientific study of game. While there are many credible and insightful theories and opinions floating around the manosphere, I want to offer my take on the situation by introducing Mentu’s Theory of Gender Displacement.

Back in the “good old days” religion kept government in check, government kept society in check, society kept men in check, men kept women in check, and women kept children in check. For better or worse, it maintained balance and everyone stayed in their lane. During this period, the female gender found collective worth in a myriad of ways, not the least of which included offering a man a virgin womb to ensure the offspring which inherited his name and worldly possessions were really his, presiding over a well maintained and efficient household, and dedicating their lives to raising children to become productive members of society who would bring honor to the family. In return for this dedication and personal sacrifice, men offered protection, support, and worked feverishly to provide the best possible resources in order to maximize their wife’s valuable contributions.

But then something happened. No, it wasn’t feminism, and no it wasn’t the entire female gender going off the deep end. Contraceptives and DNA testing removed a woman’s absolute need to offer a virgin womb to her husband – he could test for paternity himself. Electric washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwaves, vacuum cleaners and irons removed a woman’s absolute need to spend the better part of the day maintaining a household – he could microwave his own food while the clothes were at the drycleaners. When economic forces enticed women to use their newly found free time to join the workforce, they dropped the kids off at daycare, and everything that made the female gender an irreplaceable contributor to the family unit was gone.

Mentu’s Theory of Gender Displacement: When displaced, a gender will attempt to maintain its collective worth by becoming that which it admires most.

In order to maintain their collective worth after gender displacement, women decided to become men.

Now men didn’t need to work 60 hours per week to provide resources for a woman – she had her own resources. Men no longer needed to protect that which they cherished most – she could take care of herself. Men no longer needed to display the character traits of a traditional “good family man” in order to attract a virtuous woman – her virgin womb served no practical biological or genealogical purpose. Men no longer had to be good fathers for life – she could take the kids away and raise them as a single mother with the help of Uncle Sam. When men recognized their traditional role was unnecessary, they lost their motivation to unconditionally provide resources, and everything that made the male gender an irreplaceable contributor to the family unit was gone.

Once again, Mentu’s Theory of Gender Displacement: When displaced, a gender will attempt to maintain its collective worth by becoming that which it admires most.

In order to maintain their collective worth after gender displacement, men decided to become players.

Feminism, shaming language, hypergamy, and divorce rape is the female effort to balance the inequity of man’s transition to player being more rewarding, more sustainable, and less risky than woman’s transition to man.

Lack of commitment, slut shaming, and Peter Pan syndrome is the male effort to balance the inequity of woman’s transition to man being more supported and accepted by society than man’s transition to player.

Due to gender displacement, women have two choices: perfect the art of being men, or live in a fantasy land where they exhibit fundamentally replaceable traditional female values long enough to attract a man who exhibits fundamentally replaceable traditional male values. The dirty little secret is that those values were never values at all; they were survival tactics. Great Granny didn't deny her true hypergamous and manipulative nature because she was intrinsically good, she denied her true nature and made sacrifices for her family because she had to in order to survive. Great Grandpa didn't focus all his energy on providing for a family of four at age 21 because he was inherently moral or lacked the urge to see what was hiding under his secretary's pencil skirt, he did so because that was the only way he could ensure his legacy.

With the need for male support for female survival and female support for male legacy assurance removed from the equation in our society, those who participate in traditional marriage rituals today are nothing more than actors reenacting a social bedtime story written long ago in a land far far away.

Though this can be a good thing when children are involved, if you’re a man who agrees to play Prince Charming, you better make damn sure your Princess is committed to her role. Otherwise, the thick stage curtains of divorce will cut your show short when she feels her performance is underappreciated and she decides to cast a new leading man

The problem today is that men are much better at being players than women are at being men. Our new world of gender displacement would actually be a pretty liberating place if women would just learn to man up.
